Lime spreading and Soya Beans
A busy time on the farm
Lime spreading is something we do roughly every five years. The main reason is to control the soil acidity. Lime neutralises the effects of acids from nitrogen fertiliser, slurry and too much rainfall. It also promotes earthworms, adds calcium, helps the soil structure and makes the grass more palatable to grazing livestock.
We currently also harvesting soya beans. Spot our 'young buck' learning from one of our experienced drivers? Kids don't spend much time watching Netflix on the farm!
